Fireplace paint should be applied in thin layers - this helps promote maximum temperature resistance

Coal buckets when sat close to an open fire can quickly become dirty. We recommend washing first with detergent and water then applying multi metal polish if your coal bucket is brass or other metal finish.

You should wait at least 24 hours before using coals painted with Coal Paint on a fire.

You should use approximately 100ml of polish per m².

Fire Guard cleaning can be tricky. Depending on how dirty the fire guard is it could be best to simply use detergent and water. Older fire guards with many years use can be washed then dried and steel brushed before being repainted with fireplace paint. If the fire guard has brass edgings (or other finishes) these should be covered and polished with multi metal polish.

You should wait at least 24 hours before using the fire to let the coal paint cure properly.
